# Ingredients You’ll Need:

01 - 4 slices whole wheat or white bread
02 - 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
03 - 1 medium Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apple, thinly sliced
04 - 4 slices cooked turkey bacon
05 - 2 tablespoons butter, softened

# How to Make It:

01 - Cook turkey bacon according to its label and set aside. Butter one surface of each bread slice.
02 - Build two sandwiches with buttered surfaces outward: cheddar, thin apples, two bacon slices and another cheddar slice.
03 - Cook over medium-low heat, turning carefully, until both sides are golden and cheese melts. Cover briefly if the center needs more warming.
04 - Rest briefly and slice. Keep surplus apple separate rather than making the sandwich too tall to heat evenly.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Melted cheese helps hold the apple and bacon against the bread when the sandwich is turned.
02 - Thin flexible slices warm through more readily than thick wedges.
