Hot Honey Chicken Bowls with Lime and Vegetables (Print-Friendly Version)

Chicken breasts are cooked before a hot-honey, soy and lime sauce is added. Vegetables and cooked grains complete the bowls. Prepare the vegetables in small pieces and keep the chicken out of the pan while they finish if needed; a thick breast and a raw broccoli stem do not share one reliable timer.

# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Chicken

01 - 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
02 - Salt, to taste
03 - Black pepper, to taste

→ Sauce

04 - 1/2 cup hot honey
05 - 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
06 - 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
07 - 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced

→ Cooking

08 - 2 tablespoons olive oil

→ Bowl Assembly

09 - 2 cups cooked rice or quinoa
10 - 2 cups mixed vegetables, such as bell peppers, broccoli, and snap peas

# How to Make It:

01 - Dry the chicken breasts and season with salt and pepper, keeping their thickness as even as practical.
02 - Heat olive oil and cook chicken over moderate heat, starting with about 5–6 minutes per side and continuing until every thick center reaches 165°F; transfer to a clean plate if vegetables need more cooking time.
03 - Whisk hot honey, soy sauce, lime juice and minced garlic together.
04 - Sauté the small-cut vegetables until cooked to your preference, then lower heat, add the sauce and simmer briefly without scorching; return chicken just long enough to coat and heat through.
05 - Divide the cooked rice or quinoa among bowls, add sliced chicken and vegetables, and spoon the pan sauce over portions.
