Toasted Beef Burritos with Rice and Nacho Cheese Sauce (Print-Friendly Version)

These skillet-toasted burritos contain seasoned beef, cooked rice, nacho cheese sauce and crunchy tortilla strips. Nacho cheese goes inside while the plain tortilla toasts against the pan. Start with modest filling portions so the four wrappers can close securely.

# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Ground Beef

01 - 1 lb ground beef
02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
03 - 1 onion, diced
04 - 1 teaspoon salt and black pepper, adjust to taste
05 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
06 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
07 - ½ cup tomato sauce

→ Assembly

08 - 4 large flour tortillas
09 - 3 tablespoons spicy mayo
10 - 1 cup fried rice
11 - 1 cup nacho cheese sauce
12 - 1 cup sour cream
13 - 1 cup tortilla chips

# How to Make It:

01 - Soften the onion in olive oil, add ground beef and cook to 160°F, breaking it into small pieces; drain excess fat, stir in paprika and oregano, then simmer with tomato sauce about five minutes until no watery pool remains.
02 - Warm the cooked rice and cheese sauce as appropriate for their storage state, divide the three tablespoons mayo across four tortillas, and add modest portions of rice, beef, cheese sauce, sour cream and tortilla strips while leaving clear borders.
03 - Fold in both sides, roll firmly and place seam-side down in a nonstick skillet over medium heat; toast about 2–3 minutes per side until the wrapper colors, using already-hot filling rather than relying on this short toast to reheat a cold center.
04 - Serve promptly, with surplus cooked filling separately; do not add an unmeasured exterior cheese layer.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Spread it inside the tortilla with the other fillings.
